Saints and Sinners at the New London City Hall hosted by DJ Kat Kassner! With a 750L starting prize, an NLS RubixsCube Exterior and a HA! Swimming Pool designed by Kat herself, it was a prize ridden night complimented by a host of greatly dressed dancers and heavenly, devily tunes from the 80s (and maybe a couple from other decades!). Thank you for all the people who came to DJ Kat’s night – you make the sim what it is: fun! LL
After some time working away while we renovated the sim, the New London Freebie Factory has been relocated to the West side and retitled the West London Freebie Factory! There is a whole warehouse of free stuff – regeneration effects (like in Doctor Who), gestures, vehicles, gadgets and avatars!
The building itself is based on one of the warehouses in Battersea, London – there are still hints to its original produce around the building!Pop by – whether you love in-world London architecture or simply after some free gifts! http://slurl.com/secondlife/TARDIS/22/26/24
Bohemian Tourist has done a very complimentary little piece on New London on their blog – to read what they have to say about us and other great SL destinations, follow the link here!
New London opened its latest building today – another London homage, this time to the London City Hall building – an unusual construction to say the least that sits on the edge of the river Thames at the very heart of London! In New London it is parked not too far away from the river, next to Portcullis House! The building was constructed by Kat Kassner with textures by Laredo Lowtide.
For New London the building isn’t bureaucratic, its disco, erm, cratic! This is our latest club, a more smooth and up-class spot to the more grungy haunt across the river at the Travellers Rest pub!
For this night, DJ Kat opened with a theme of Best in British – a prize amounted to staggering 4000L thanks to donations from staff. A great opening as the sim closes the Maldovarium as its Saturday venue! No fears, the space bar Maldovarium will stay… but it will have a new purpose! Stay tuned and enjoy the pictures!
With the Millennium Wheel have made Editors Pick last week and with the opening of this amazing new nightclub, we hope the ever evolving New London will continue to be enjoyed by patrons throughout 2012!
And then to top it – into the SL Grid Top 40 at number 6 with….
… the English National Anthem! Go New London!
As part of the changes in sim, the London Eye has moved. For those who don’t know, this is one of the largest wheels in SL – and unique to New London. You can ride it too!
UPDATE: Day after posting this, the London Eye became Second Life’s Editor’s Pick of destinations to check out. Sim went mad. Thanks to everyone who popped by! Hope you enjoyed yourself!
Wow, a month gone by, pretty much to the day and no news on this blog. Why?
T60 – the sim’s in-store time machine system has just been released, that took so much testing as we fused two systems tighter and tighter together. Pop to the BT Tower in sim if you want to have a browse of the first batch now released – those who have bought past products now released for the T60 will get free updates.
There’s a free starter pack there too – complete with HUD, police box form and rezzer!
Sim having a major revamp. Big Ben revamped, new builds – west side streets now have shops, our London Eye has been moved, Radio Theatre up for a revamp and basically a 2012 revamp!
So what can I say more than we’ve been SO busy – on top of our usual events of radio, quizes, dances and attractions?
Well speak to the Fairy Bear Mother. He will make your wishes come true! Pictures of the sim renovations to come!
